Why we do this

We would rather put this book set in the hands of real parents than spend every dollar on ads. If having books out and the phone out of sight has helped your home, the most useful thing in the world is hearing it from you, in your own words. The rules, kept simple

  • Use a book set you bought on our website. Website orders only, since that is how we send your refund.
  • Post your reel public on Instagram or TikTok. Tag @hideawaytales in the reel, @ us in the comments, and add one caption line: "Paid partnership with Hideaway Tales."
  • We check the views on that one reel 14 days after you post it.
  • 1,500 views is 50 percent back. 15,000 views is a full refund. We always pay the highest tier a single reel reaches, not both.
  • Make as many reels as you like. Each reel counts on its own views. Views do not add up across videos, so ten reels at 1,000 views each do not combine into a refund.
  • To claim, fill in the form on this page with your order number, your handle, your email, and your reel link.
  • By taking part, you let us reshare your reel on the Hideaway Tales channels. If we ever want to run it as a paid ad, we will ask you first.
  • Keep it honest and kind. Please do not leave an Amazon review in exchange for the reward. That is Amazon's rule, and we want to keep your account safe.

Reel tips that matter

Film vertical, in good light.A window is all you need.
Hook in the first two seconds.A question, a surprising number, or a reveal makes a tired parent stop.
Keep it short.Fifteen to forty seconds is the sweet spot.
Show the set clearly.People need to see what it is at least once.
Make it yours.Your real reason and real voice beat a script every time.

Four easy ways to film it

Pick one. You do not need all four.

1. Just talk

Best if you are fine on camera. Prop your phone up and say what you think of the set, like you would tell a friend. One take, no script. Hold up the book set when you talk about it.

Start with something that makes them curious: "This is either the smartest thing I have bought or the worst."

2. Open the box

Best if yours has not arrived yet. Film yourself opening it for the first time. You can talk through it as you go, narrate over the top afterwards, or add text and music. If you are giving the set as a gift, film their reaction when they open it.

Start with: "My Hideaway Tales book set just arrived, but it's not just books."

3. The thing you never knew existed

Best if you like a reveal. Hold up both books. Then show that one of them opens to hold your phone. Let the surprise do the work.

Start with: "I did not know they made these." Or: "Where was this when I had my first baby?"

4. No talking, just text

Best if you would rather not be on camera. Film short clips from a few angles, your phone sliding in, a page of the story, then put text on screen to explain what is happening.

On screen: "One book is a story for my son. The other one hides my phone."

Whichever one you pick, say what it changed for you. The line people reply to is the honest one. "I felt bad about being on my phone around the baby, but I still had to answer things." Then show the book as the answer.
